The Dubai Concert Committee was established in 1996
under the kind patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin
Saeed Al Maktoum to provide free classical music concerts.
In April 2011 it was awarded with the Sheikh Mohammed Bin
Rashid Al Maktoum Patrons of the Arts Award in the category “Supporters
of the Arts”. It is a volunteer, non-profit organization,
all of whose members give their time free.
The Dubai Concert Committee organizes 10 concerts a
year of classical music with international professional
artists, mainly at the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts
Centre in the Mall of the Emirates. Since the first concert
in January 1996, The Dubai Concert Committee has organized
approximately 160 concerts for over 87.000 classical
music lovers in Dubai. 2011 marked the 15 th year of
a strong commitment to high quality classical music concerts
and an ongoing contribution to the cultural life in Dubai.
Until today, it is the only organization, which regularly
brings this kind of music to the public of Dubai.

In April 2011 the Committee was awarded with the Sheikh
